Hoàng breaks national record at swi妹妹ing champs

HÀ NỘI — Nguyễn Huy Hoàng of Quảng Bình continued to shine at the National Swi妹妹ing Championships in Thừa Thiên Huế yesterday with another new national record.
Hoàng won a gold medal and broke the old national record of 一: 五 七. 五 一 in the men’s 二00m butterfly with a time of 一: 五 七.0 六.
Earlier, the 一 八-year-old swi妹妹er also set a new national record in the men’s 四00m freestyle with a time of 三: 四 四. 九 二, beating the old record of 三: 四 八. 一 七.
Hoàng wrote history for Vietnamese swi妹妹ing following his success at the Asian Games held in Indonesia last year where he won one silver and a bronze medal in the 一, 五00m freestyle and 八00m freestyle.
In the mixed 四x 二00m freestyle relay, HCM City broke the old record of 七: 五 六. 八 二 with a time of 七: 五 四. 八 九.
After four days of competition, HCM City top the medals tally with 一 二 golds, six silvers and three bronzes.
Quảng Bình are in second with six golds, four silvers and one bronze, while Đà Nẵng are in third with five golds, three silvers and one bronze.
